Does Busvisor simulate real bus driving behavior?
Yes — for testing. With stop cadence or API bus stops enabled, the simulated vehicle (a) stops for passengers, (b) slows as it approaches each stop, and (c) accelerates away like a real driver. Open Bus Realism on the map route screen for optional behaviour: (d) harsh departures (accelerometer testing); (e) random emergency stops; (f) pothole dodging; (g–h) traffic lights (stop or speed up to make the light); (i) hard stops / accident simulation (front, side, back). Advanced scenarios are off by default.
Which cities have bus-stop data?
Bus-stop lookup is optional and uses licensed regional GTFS feeds — not a single “world” database. Coverage available for testing today includes Melbourne, Brisbane, and Seattle. Additional cities are being brought online for multi-country testing, including San Diego, Denpasar, Cape Town, Pretoria, and Johannesburg, as each feed is imported and certified.
Does Busvisor track me in the background?
No. Busvisor injects mock location only while you actively run a simulation. There is no hidden background tracking, no analytics SDK, and no advertising profile.
Is Busvisor spyware?
No. Busvisor uses Android's official Mock Location developer capability for software testing, demonstrations, and QA. You must enable it in Developer options and press Play to start simulation.
Does Busvisor upload my saved routes?
Not by default. Saved routes stay on your device. Route data is sent over the network only when you use optional voice routing, or when you explicitly export and share a GPX file yourself. Bus-stop lookup only retrieves scheduled transit stops and does not upload your saved routes.
Do I need an account?
No. Core features work without registration or login in v1.0.0.
Does Busvisor show ads?
No. v1.0.0 contains no advertising SDKs and does not sell your data.
What data goes to Google?
Map display and routing use Google Maps SDK, Google Routes API, and Google Places API. See Third-party services and Google's privacy policy.
How do I delete my data?
Delete saved routes in the app, revoke permissions in Android Settings, or uninstall Busvisor. Email privacy@busvisor.com for additional requests.
